Reinstalled second pool node to test install instructions, few changes, improved workarounds for gridmap2dcachekpwd issues after talking to ST. Tested ~50 simultaneous transfers, initially looked as though wasn’t using all possible servers -didn’t appear to use first pool node gridftp server, however on closer inspection it had, but there were odd errors in the logs.

Got scaleable gridftp working, I think the reason it didn’t work earlier that I was starting services that were named identically to those running on the head causing the thing that tries to work out where to send sutff to throw a wobbly. Updated the installation document appropriately – still need to test properly though.

Yesterday- more grepping

Tried recipe for multiple gridftp backends – didn’t work with incoming, maybe it only works with outgoing?

Scalable gridftp isn’t working yet, e-mail into dcache support requesting help, seems very fragile – dependent on order of starting dcache-opts on head node and pol nodes

srm and gridftp transfers in fail if more than one gridftp server running, talking directly to second gridftp server works until it needs to talk to pnfs then it fails, so gridftp-ls works but little else.
